Every day inside your head, you write the unique scripts for your own biography. Some of the chapters in your life’s story are funny, some are on-the- edge-of- your-seat risky and adventure-filled, and some of the chapters are filled with dark, stormy nights, fear and sadness. But they are YOUR stories, and they shaped who you are today.
Somewhere around mid-life, most everyone starts to wonder if their story ending will be happy…or if it will have a sad ending. The great thing about being the leading character in your story is that you are the author. You get to decide what to write. What action do you want to include in the remainder of your story? What elements do you wish to remove or change?
Many people wait too late to think about those two questions. Physicians and caregivers in hospital and hospice environments often hear people express end-of-life-story regrets. These five wishes are among the most common regrets they hear as ordinary people think of the final pages of their story.
Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan…and even speaker/success coach Tony Robbins have realized the value of having a coach. So have many of the most successful people on the planet. Successful people have coaches!
Why? Having a coach gives people an edge. They are able to get more out of themselves than they would on their own. People thinking “I’ll coach myself” are limiting their success potential. Can you afford not to have a coach in your life? It’s costing you already way too much if you are committed to a better life. You won’t regret it, and it can transform your life in ways you never dreamed of!
After the death of my spouse, I not only lost joy, I down-spiraled in every way possible. I was lonely, and I was angry! My performance and that of my staff members suffered. Jeanie started coaching me during this vulnerable time. She helped me focus on the core issues that resulted from the traumatic events in my life. Jeanie was very wise and intuitive throughout our year of coaching. She helped me understand my reactions and the positives of my life as well. She became a gentle inspiration when we met in person, and her mental and spiritual guidance stayed with me. I'm happy to report that over time, I gained a new meaning in life, regained joy, and I am helping others who have gone through hard times. Thank you, Jeanie, for bringing me back from the brink.
Jeanie, I had never had a personal coach before I worked with you. After hearing you speak and share your personal story and mission at a retreat, I became compelled to live the life I'd never had and do things I had never done. A light bulb went off when I learned about the things you are doing, saw your zest for life clearly demonstrated, and when you said, "Never say WHOA to life despite your age," I paid attention! My days were passing, and I certainly was playing life safe (to the point of being boring). You know what I've managed to achieve since we began our journey together. I want you to know what a great motivator and champion role model you are to many whose lives you touch. We need your spirit, motivation, and coaching skills!
Jeanie is the kind of coach who is grounded, smart, easy to talk to and happens to have a great sense of humor! She provides her clients with the opportunity to self-reflect and discover their deepest dreams that they may never have realized. Jeanie helped me set a new course in my life. As a coach she always focused on my needs and was never judgmental. She met me where I was. I loved her openness, warmth, and her upbeat style. Her gift of supportive nudging helped me spread my wings and take off in a way I would never have thought possible. Choosing Jeanie as my coach is something I will always be thankful for. She helps you believe in yourself.
Jeanie coached me when I left the corporate world and started my new training and consulting business. She helped me overcome my fear of the unknown, my inner critics of "not good enough," and she championed me through every small success. With her support, I became "fearless.." That is the word she used to describe my new found courage. I took on new challenges one after another. Jeanie's coaching has unleashed a whole new potential for me.
Last year my life was on cruise control. I was moving, but I wasn't fulfilled. I signed up for coaching with Jeanie, and I completed the Energy Leadership Assessment. Within a week, she was providing me with powerful insights about my "victim" mentality and helped shift me away from feeling utterly stuck and into higher levels of energy, revitalization, and success in a short amount of time.
As a corporate executive, I realized I needed help with the fear, panic, and anxiety I was living in due to some personal traumatic changes in my life. Jeanie McKay helped me face the new realities as well as new opportunities available as I moved through a time of massive disruption in my world. Jeanie guided me as I moved from my helpless "victim mindset." She helped me increase my strength and resilience. Due to her supportive coaching, I feel more energetic and able to cope with life's demands. I see possibilities where I saw blocks in the past. I am thankful for the empowering guidance Jeanie provided.
